We’ve been fortunate to work with this family and grow with them from a smaller home into this magnificent new residence in one of Johannesburg’s most sought after suburbs. Tasked with bringing colour, elegance and an African spirit into the space we love how all the elements work together in an eccentric mix that’s true to the family’s personality. The Timorous Beasties wallpaper in the formal lounge is an ode to the family’s Scottish heritage while the TV lounge is reminiscent of their travels through Africa in their beloved Defender. The main bedroom was designed with elegance and absolute sanctuary in mind, where a hard day’s work can be forgotten and endless cups of tea can be enjoyed on slow weekend mornings. Complete with a patio and ensuite lounge, the space feels like a homely version of a 5-star hotel suite.
